The colors are bright and springy, but still sweet and girly. I know she will be a big hit in this at her party!<br />

He was decisive about it. So, I was determined to make it the most manly boy dolphin ever. lol I made his body with a blue plaid fabric and royal blue belly. Turns out, Riley had a matching pair of plaid shorts.... I love it when things work out like that! Very cool and very boyish for sure. :)<br />

The boy's parents have named their tractor "The Burley Express" so they wanted the jon jon to reflect that. I'm sure the baby will stay cool and look cool in his romper. :)<br />

Classic pillowcase dress with initial and name embroidery. Fabric ties instead of ribbons. I think it's so cute for spring!<br />

I found this adorable Timeless Treasures owl fabric and set out to make "owl outfits" in lieu of turkey outfits. It was my first attempt to make a skirt (or anything else for that matter) without a pattern and was actually pretty easy. I was pleased with how the skirts came out. As for the owl applique, that was done by hand with wonder under and a zig zag stitch on the sewing machine. ANYONE can do this! If you are inspired, e-mail me and I'll give you directions on how to do it yourself! Who-whooooo will be the cutest girls at Thanksgiving this year? I happen to think it will be my three favorite little girls in the whole world. ;)<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJvCLmZZ4d0AVp6pZN_6KowSsjuax26snMMFF7vedmXku1-RKBuAG7hYZeeP8saKjBWZ0ngHtN68GUP0up9ZfqEdLx0hP6rqeayTfU1ztgNBWcipGai3YcTuoK0qiHpmdI6iZ5m11hMyg/s1600-h/DSC07063.JPG"><img border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJvCLmZZ4d0AVp6pZN_6KowSsjuax26snMMFF7vedmXku1-RKBuAG7hYZeeP8saKjBWZ0ngHtN68GUP0up9ZfqEdLx0hP6rqeayTfU1ztgNBWcipGai3YcTuoK0qiHpmdI6iZ5m11hMyg/s400/DSC07063.JPG" /></a> </div><br /><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggurqsNSRNPZQ_te6prhyphenhyphenfjtSchNtHggQ3qXoR6YpxLr15Ej72oAQ_O0rEN92dWg2bEMB_moJURrwTfLSy4iBz7CarinDoRy5sgS3Lj6WYNj7ryYMRQsvyXj-1RzydA-NrPMlEiD7I3hw/s1600-h/DSC07062.JPG"><img border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggurqsNSRNPZQ_te6prhyphenhyphenfjtSchNtHggQ3qXoR6YpxLr15Ej72oAQ_O0rEN92dWg2bEMB_moJURrwTfLSy4iBz7CarinDoRy5sgS3Lj6WYNj7ryYMRQsvyXj-1RzydA-NrPMlEiD7I3hw/s400/DSC07062.JPG" /></a> </div><div style='clear:both; text-align:CENTER'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Tarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00903574800707932082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4241564869935871378.post-58943336954190939242009-10-20T11:02:00.000-07:002009-10-20T11:03:19.808-07:00Pumpkin Patchwork<div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px">I love these Pumpkin Patch dresses, inspired by the well-known K's Kids children's embroidered line of clothing. These dresses feature 3 pumpkin appliques on blue gingham, robin's egg blue ribbon across the empire waist, and initials in Curlz across the chest. Need holiday attire or holiday gifts? Get orders in now. The last day for new orders is November 15th!!! After that, I'll be working on my own holiday sewing! :) Personalized shirts are always a great gift for nieces and nephews, friends of your kids, etc. Boys can look cute, too! Her only instructions were not specific to holiday and something that could be worn fall and winter. I always get kind of nervous surprising people... what if they don't like it? But, I was up for the challenge. I think this trendy winter blue corduroy and fall brown combo does the trick. I loved this corduroy... so sweet yet sophisticated. Pair this with a tee and leggings for fall or turtleneck and tights for winter. Simple, cute, and classic... my favorite! I hope Claire and her mommy think so, too!<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXLW7keyDNoj-kpIQepqEW3tFb5f-8c_kWokic9DERkpVJkWPeg0xyk9zJvgoBbYKkv5i6INe0coWsRkkz8lZ2I3EGihAJ-8u4XD6uGXDKTDSpfhLp6ySR8_LMQCGFSnCQERlqat5_oSo/s1600-h/DSC06267.JPG"><img border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXLW7keyDNoj-kpIQepqEW3tFb5f-8c_kWokic9DERkpVJkWPeg0xyk9zJvgoBbYKkv5i6INe0coWsRkkz8lZ2I3EGihAJ-8u4XD6uGXDKTDSpfhLp6ySR8_LMQCGFSnCQERlqat5_oSo/s400/DSC06267.JPG" /></a> </div><div style='clear:both; text-align:CENTER'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Tarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00903574800707932082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4241564869935871378.post-71595259481400635422009-10-02T05:10:00.000-07:002009-10-02T05:24:07.545-07:00Funky Fall Dresses<div style="margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;">I was in the mood to get some fall dresses made for my little girl, so these are what I came up with this week. First, a "funky floral" fall pillowcase dress. Very retro and bright, but I love it! The one simple initial is all this dress needed as far as embroidery goes.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHyPfwmBMeqaoPVJSMpGOGsu19i3Hn2MliERTNQdU2T4AGBpPEraC5yHldU9NfgRutwt6XeO_Hyl9wl3UVfrN5bZzdqpxrhVtkarPcJME0L1mjH8Kd2sTUVpPNC82mfzQbR93cpC0a3wE/s1600-h/DSC06354.JPG"><img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHyPfwmBMeqaoPVJSMpGOGsu19i3Hn2MliERTNQdU2T4AGBpPEraC5yHldU9NfgRutwt6XeO_Hyl9wl3UVfrN5bZzdqpxrhVtkarPcJME0L1mjH8Kd2sTUVpPNC82mfzQbR93cpC0a3wE/s400/DSC06354.JPG" border="0" /></a> </div><br /><div style="margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6M9E1Ta1ivguA5UF8u6E6giLJ52lfZh9nZzDqZQAezLtajJf2vHLIVyHAQJbEuuTARWbe5FK69ejvIbCrQJN8qNZ4e6hCYbMZ-p1r12bthbTT3JbgP4gJDxwyLt_8Y6uOWHCtm9getAk/s1600-h/DSC06355.JPG"><img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6M9E1Ta1ivguA5UF8u6E6giLJ52lfZh9nZzDqZQAezLtajJf2vHLIVyHAQJbEuuTARWbe5FK69ejvIbCrQJN8qNZ4e6hCYbMZ-p1r12bthbTT3JbgP4gJDxwyLt_8Y6uOWHCtm9getAk/s400/DSC06355.JPG" border="0" /></a> </div>I found this beautiful corduroy at Hobby Lobby back in the summer and finally got around to finishing a project with it. I lined this dress with one of Adam's soft t-shirts for the ultimate in comfort! A 3" large "R" on the front and no shoulder bows.... maybe I'll add some later. I think I'll pair this with a brown shirt and leggings, and maybe a lavendar/brown hair bow.<br /><br /><div style="margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCQWz9KvsPsUt0V8FV_9C7vMFQ3-tBKe0SvO_OSokI8Lp2-z-4_uaqZUEyq_nvh0Y_Au18AqLbJjkR924w-8RGNhLYEccRnu5cjI6RHWldSF_pDqUIgFIsiR1ap9Q7e6mkLeZQu11K428/s1600-h/DSC06356.JPG"><img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCQWz9KvsPsUt0V8FV_9C7vMFQ3-tBKe0SvO_OSokI8Lp2-z-4_uaqZUEyq_nvh0Y_Au18AqLbJjkR924w-8RGNhLYEccRnu5cjI6RHWldSF_pDqUIgFIsiR1ap9Q7e6mkLeZQu11K428/s400/DSC06356.JPG" border="0" /></a> </div><br /><div style="margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3LwHvfzpR6TIc9GmQ6UAos-7eRT4nXO7nNpvUbha54aY82D-3mrztwLDkc3schvcvFGkA_rehOtyS165UYgGsQkHQ7P1aqJDT5yB7UC7J5ZAXIKiVdRMPUNtGCZHCU1JibpP9qxUhEcY/s1600-h/DSC06357.JPG"><img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3LwHvfzpR6TIc9GmQ6UAos-7eRT4nXO7nNpvUbha54aY82D-3mrztwLDkc3schvcvFGkA_rehOtyS165UYgGsQkHQ7P1aqJDT5yB7UC7J5ZAXIKiVdRMPUNtGCZHCU1JibpP9qxUhEcY/s400/DSC06357.JPG" border="0" /></a> </div>Last, I had to make an "October" dress. I'm not really big on Halloween-y stuff, but my little girl LOVES all things spiders thanks to her big brother. When I saw this spider design, I knew I had to make a dress for her! I'm in the process of making Riley the matching spider shirt but it isn't yet finished. No matter what you call it, I think it's gorgeous paired with chocolate brown. This brown corduroy a-line jumper features "aqua" initials in Curlz, aqua/brown swiss dot bows, and of course lined with aqua cotton fabric. I think this dress will be perfect for fall paired with a short or long sleeved t-shirt or turtleneck, and tights or leggings. I am currently making another in seafoam blue corduroy with brown initials and bows! I'll post pics when it is finished. :)<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAMyNUwgwkd1FEko-xw01yVw0MOyza1e0yr_tIybHhxK2M9upOOBTAo5IfD3opfRHpyb6zDGNPdM6PAzEayEVhupDMSw6vbEPwIOqlXwN26ZlUeaqK8P9jI8cvUzt92y8zbIwxrIrN_So/s1600-h/DSC06194.JPG"><img border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAMyNUwgwkd1FEko-xw01yVw0MOyza1e0yr_tIybHhxK2M9upOOBTAo5IfD3opfRHpyb6zDGNPdM6PAzEayEVhupDMSw6vbEPwIOqlXwN26ZlUeaqK8P9jI8cvUzt92y8zbIwxrIrN_So/s400/DSC06194.JPG" /></a> </div><div style='clear:both; text-align:CENTER'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Tarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00903574800707932082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4241564869935871378.post-55551085364369423542009-09-11T11:51:00.000-07:002009-09-11T11:52:06.152-07:00A Very Veggie Birthday<div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px">Riley LOVES Veggie Tales, so we HAD to throw him a Veggie Tales birthday bash this past weekend for his fourth birthday (they grow up so fast, don't they?)! I found these two gray t-shirts in my fabric stash (I think they were on sale for 1.00 this summer) and decided to make matching shirts for the kids. I threw together a matching bow for Emma Reese out of ribbon scraps and.... viola!... instant personalized party shirts! Are you having a theme party for your child's birthday? Why not make the day special with a shirt to commemorate the event? If I don't have the design you are looking for, ask and I'm sure I can find it! :) </div><br /><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJ2XIpRLx3_6bqn9Duhu3GB2IKkZDv-utso8IPP2yrLIPBITlKvP8MXzdJIsc3iCZWYj7L7eWZerYYTyP3RaKSewX4Ih6oZFl0qm_h9AKmmxqiKl-l81WzvuspCUhVjcWg_f1U5I0ATAU/s1600-h/DSC06089.JPG"><img border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJ2XIpRLx3_6bqn9Duhu3GB2IKkZDv-utso8IPP2yrLIPBITlKvP8MXzdJIsc3iCZWYj7L7eWZerYYTyP3RaKSewX4Ih6oZFl0qm_h9AKmmxqiKl-l81WzvuspCUhVjcWg_f1U5I0ATAU/s400/DSC06089.JPG" /></a> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYu2rXEUFNrKRULla-3-nc0L_ShRfIzlMKA7FUPFjAh8zzk1DGfUSvZJawoSWuBR9Zhwh1sXE1CfkxLmIgUF1RzGAcDVIafhsZgikvVIv3fUcV3U80ZJypb2wakmvHZk1qiEXoB7NeBdk/s1600-h/DSC06068.JPG"><img border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYu2rXEUFNrKRULla-3-nc0L_ShRfIzlMKA7FUPFjAh8zzk1DGfUSvZJawoSWuBR9Zhwh1sXE1CfkxLmIgUF1RzGAcDVIafhsZgikvVIv3fUcV3U80ZJypb2wakmvHZk1qiEXoB7NeBdk/s400/DSC06068.JPG" /></a></div><div style='clear:both; text-align:CENTER'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Tarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00903574800707932082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4241564869935871378.post-3424038442509768202009-09-11T11:44:00.000-07:002009-09-11T11:44:56.271-07:00got T-Shirts?<div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px">If you ever come across t-shirts at a good deal and nothing else to do with them, why not personalize them with your favorite design? The "candy stripe" fabric she chose for the inside is classic/preppy/cute... I love the combination!
